Marion's Senior Photoshoot at Botanical Gardens
Marion's senior session was an absolute joy! We had the perfect combination of spring florals, sunshine, and golden hour lighting that made everything feel magical. Marion was so bubbly and sweet throughout the entire session, and she brought her mom along for support, which made the day even more special.
Senior Photos with Spring Florals
We met at the WRAL azalea gardens, which is one of my favorite spots for senior sessions. The gardens were in full bloom, with vibrant flowers and greenery all around us, providing the perfect variety of locations for each of her outfits. It was easy to find gorgeous spots for every look!
Greenery in your senior session
The greenery at the azalea gardens feels like a maze, just like something out of The Secret Garden. With the sunlight shining through the leaves, it made a gorgeous backdrop for Marion's session. Her vibrant blue dress really popped against the rich green, making her stand out in every shot.
Why schedule Your Senior Session in Spring
If you're dreaming of a senior session filled with bright, vibrant colors and beautiful floral backgrounds, spring is the ideal time for your photoshoot. Marion's April session was a perfect example, with the seasonal blooms adding an extra layer of beauty to every shot. If you want a gallery that’s full of life and color, springtime is your moment!
Vibrant orange florals in Your Senior Photos
One of the highlights of Marion’s session was the stunning orange flowers in peak bloom during our shoot. These flowers added a beautiful pop of color to her photos, especially against her white dress, creating a dreamy and vibrant contrast. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, as by the time I returned to the gardens the following weekend, they had already faded.
Golden Hour Senior Session
Since Marion booked my Classic package, we had an hour to shoot, which gave us time to explore the gardens and make the most of the golden hour light filtering through the trees. We started about two hours before sunset, and the sunshine was just right — warm and soft, making everything feel extra dreamy.
How to Pose for Your Senior session
A huge part of how your photos look and feel is the posing. I take that on 100%, telling you how to move and stand throughout our whole session. Toward the end of her shoot, Marion was totally open to getting creative with her poses. I love it when seniors trust the process and try out the fun, sometimes silly poses I suggest! Those moments often lead to the most beautiful shots. Marion's willingness to step outside her comfort zone really paid off, and we captured some amazing, genuine expressions that truly reflected her bright and bubbly personality.
Can I bring Family to my Senior Session?
This is a question I get asked often, and the answer is yes, of course!! Seniors often bring parents, siblings, or friends to their sessions, and it makes such a big difference in the feel of the session. It's great to have a familiar person there with you to lend an extra hand, make you feel more comfortable, and offer suggestions and support! Marion brought her mom, and I talked them into grabbing a couple of photos together to mark the occasion :)
College T-Shirt Senior Photos
One of my favorite things about senior sessions is getting to know each senior and hearing about their plans for the future. Marion is beyond excited to attend UNC Chapel Hill, and I could tell how ready she is for this next chapter. We made sure to grab some shots in her Carolina T-shirt with the gorgeous painted brick buildings in the background.
