Giada's STunning Spring Senior Session

I have to say, Giada’s senior session is one of my absolute favorites! Everything was just perfect—great weather, beautiful lighting, and the amazing locations she chose. Plus, Giada’s enthusiasm made the entire experience so much fun. She was totally open to my posing suggestions and brought her own creative ideas, which made it a fantastic collaboration!

Giada discovered me on Pinterest, which was super exciting! I’ve been putting a lot of effort into posting there, so it’s always nice to see that hard work pay off. (If you haven’t already, make sure to follow me for more inspiration!)

Simple Senior Outfit Ideas

We kicked things off at the WRAL azalea gardens, where we captured some stunning, clean shots against the painted brick buildings. I loved her classic outfit - jeans and a white top, with a little something extra with the puffy sleeves!

Early Spring Senior Session

Giada was my first senior of 2024, in late March, and that meant the weather was perfect and everything was green again! There weren't a lot of flowers blooming yet, but the cherry blossoms certainly were! They made the most gorgeous backdrop and gave Giada's photos such a sweet spring vibe.

College T-Shirt Senior Photos

The college t-shirt is one of the essential outfits I recommend, especially if you're using your photos for graduation announcement! It's such an easy look to add, like Giada did, with the Northeastern sweatshirt she threw over her first outfit. We had fun chatting about how excited she is to move to Boston in the fall and start school there!

Variety in your Senior Gallery

I absolutely LOVED the locations Giada chose, because I always strive for variety in my seniors' galleries. In her three locations, we were able to get backdrops with buildings, florals, greenery, water, fields, and more!

Her second outfit went perfectly with the flowers that had just started blooming before her early spring session.

Train Tracks Senior Photos

We grabbed a few photos on the train tracks at Pullen park, and I absolutely love how they turned out! Huge disclaimer - this train was not active while we were on the tracks. This is a small train for children that goes around the park, and was not running while we were there. Many other train tracks are off limits for photos, and for good reason!

Bridge Senior Photos at Pullen Park

Parks with water and especially a beautiful bridge are some of my favorite spots for photos, and this bridge at Pullen Park is a great example! Giada absolutely killed it with these photos, I had such a hard time choosing only a few here!

City Senior Photos

I snagged a few shots of Giada crossing the street outside of the park. I definitely had to photoshop out some cars but I adore how these photos turned out. This is a classic shot setup that I love to do in city sessions!

Senior Session Locations: Open Field

An open field is a request I get often for senior sessions. I love saving this spot for last, because the light from the sunset hits it so perfectly. Plus, by that point in the session, my seniors are nice and comfortable with posing! It can be a little intimidating to pose in such an open space with nothing around, but Giada did an amazing job of letting me guide her. The lighting was incredible right before sunset - so warm and soft. These are some of my favorite senior shots ever!

White Dress for Senior Sessions

Giada's outfit choices were amazing and this white romper was no exception! I always recommend including a white mini or maxi dress in your outfit - it's neutral and fits with any background, allowing you to shine bright in your photos. It's also a classic outfit to pair with your cap and gown if you want a few grad photos in your session!

Tall Grass Sunset Photos

Tall grass makes a great setting for cute senior photos! I love the way it works with the camera, looking beautiful in and out of focus. The warm glow from the setting sun reflected beautifully off the nearby buildings, creating a magical backdrop. This spot was the perfect end to our session!
